Lira House emerges from a composition of volumes that takes full advantage of the site's steep topography. The upper volume, defined by vertical brise-soleils, is supported by slender columns and cantilevers over the ground floor. This elevated mass reinforces the residence's strong horizontal expression within the landscape while emphasizing the interplay between solid and void. The vertical brise-soleil façade filters natural daylight and frames views of the surrounding landscape.
Organized around a U-shaped floor plan, the social areas open entirely onto the central courtyard through expansive glazed walls, seamlessly dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior. The outdoor living space, composed of landscaped gardens and a swimming pool, becomes the heart of the home and the focal point of the residential experience.
The spatial organization is based on a clear separation of functions. The lower level accommodates the service and support areas, while the upper floor contains the social and private living spaces. This arrangement provides greater privacy for the bedrooms while strengthening the connection between the shared living areas and the central courtyard.
The material palette reinforces the project’s contemporary architectural language. The combination of timber, concrete, and natural stone creates a balanced composition of warmth, texture, and refinement, highlighting the beauty of natural materials while strengthening the dialogue between the architecture and its surroundings. Together, these materials contribute to an atmosphere of comfort, permanence, and a seamless connection with nature.
